Native Plant Demonstration Plots for Landscaping and Wildlife
Objective: Maintain a wide combination of native vegetation for adoption in urban and rural landscaping to adopt as conservation practices and provide habitat for wildlife.
Maintaining Vegetative Connections Along Fencerows
Objective: Evaluated attractive vegetation mixes to provide habitat for wildlife in fencerows and other marginal areas in farms.
Species included: are native shrubs, forbs, vines and small trees.
Native Plant Events at Bradford
Native Plant Sale
April 14, 9 to noon: Seed and seedlings sales, art sales, photographs, book sales, and other vendors. Seminars and demonstrations will be offered from 9:30 to 11:30 am.
Field Days, Workshops and Clinics
Native Plant Field Day
June 21 2007, 4 to 7 pm.: Similar to the above with the addition of wagon rides to research sites. Participants are offered walking or wagon tours to visit research sites across the farm during field days.
