Mission

The goal of work on the collective 74-acre leased farms is to implement applied research, demonstrate management practices for crop production, and evaluate new and sustainable crop production practices. Projects include weed control on soybeans, corn, grain sorghum and forages; planting rates and dates; comparisons of tillage methods; factors affecting soybean cyst nematodes; seed treatments; fertilizer rates, sources and placement; variety testing; global positioning systems applications; and comparisons between cool-season and warm-season grasses.
