Greenley Barn Renovation

The original barn, constructed in 1936, housed cattle and horses and served as a storage facility for forages and grain. This barn was decorated with two elaborate ventilator cupolas. The barn was replaced with a replica during the summer of 2000. Construction was initiated in February and the barn was completed in July 2000. The original horse stalls and corn crib were removed from the original barn and reinstalled in the new structure. This barn serves as a historical reminder to all who visit the University of Missouri Greenley Research Center of the Greenley Farm and agriculture in Northeast Missouri during the early part of the 20th century.
