AG Science Day Hosts 450 FFA Students

The annual FFA Ag Science field day was held at HWRC on September 18. Fifteen schools were represented with student attendance near 450 students. Our goal continues to focus on bringing a hands on focus for students to experience see the many aspects of science in Agriculture. Topics included Beef Quality Assurance, fistulated cow nutrition demonstration, tree identification, alternative energy on the farm, GPS and GIS mapping systems, forage production and What’s New at MIZZOU. In all, seventeen stops were included in the round robin tour. Thanks go to University of Missouri state and regional extension specialists for assisting in making this event a success.
