Prescience: "South Farm: What's the latest? " by Marc Linit, associate dean of research and extension. South Farm has been an important property for CAFNR research and educational activities since the original 186 acres were purchased in 1930. Subsequent acquisitions have increased the farm to its current size of 1,452 acres. What began as a small farm outside the city is now an extensive education and research facility bordered by urban development.
